Here are some basic calculations so that you can figure the approximate amount of material that you will need for your upcoming project, like the berm for target practice pictured here. **Fill in a Circle Conversion**

We often have customers that want to fill in areas where an above ground pool was at one time dug down and partially set below ground. Use the fields below to figure how much material you will need to fill in your area. The total amount **does not** include compaction of the material.

**Bagged Material to Yards Conversion**

While we don't sell bagged material, if you wanted to figure how bagged material compares to getting yards of material delivered to your project, here is how you do it: Their are 27 Cubic Square Feet in 1 Cubic Yard of material. An average bag of mulch is 2 to 3 Cubic Sq. Feet. It would take 14 bags at 2 Cubic Sq. Ft. per bag to equal 1 yard of Mulch. It would take 9 bags at 3 Cubic Sq. Ft. per bag to equal 1 yard of Mulch. Use the fields below to quickly figure bagged material to yards conversion.

**Wheelbarrow Loads to Yards Conversion**

Much like the Bagged Material we have already discussed, wheelbarrow capacity is generally 2 or 3 cubic feet per load. For a 2 Cubic Ft. wheelbarrow you would be looking at 14 loads of material per yard. A 3 Cubic Ft. wheelbarrow will take approximately 9 loads to equal 1 yard of material. Use the fields below to figure how many wheelbarrow loads your project will take.

**Material for an Area Conversion**

Figure the the amount of material that you will need based on the length, width, and depth of your area. The total amount does not include compaction of the material.
